If I remember correctly there are two zDepth scripts out there. One that prints the min and max values to the command line, and another that actually sets the values for you. Chances are that if you have the manual one, then your build of VfR is not update as the zDepth channel was broken temporarily. The latest build should have the zDepth channel fixed, and then you can use the automatic zDepth script found in at the link below.

Yes Damien, i have the same. Today i've tested it, and it works.............but only with my simple test scenes ( a simple plane as ground, and a few spheres) in this cases it work perfect. I've download DOF PRO plugin for Photoshop, and im doing tests there. But when im drag the script into my interior scene and render, it gives me only black and nothing else :-\ Does camera position affects on Z-depth calculation? Because i've selected objects in top view, but render them in perspective.

Ok, ok i'm totally stupid : When i've type my previous post, i've rendering at the same time. And what shows that test.............Yes the Z-depth calculation is view dependent ;D You should select objects in the same viewport where you render ;D

Yes, definitely. Once you change the view, the values for zDepth will be off depending on how different the views are.
