  • Large Resolution Rendering. Halo's around shadow area?

I followed the tutorial on large resolution rendering on the asgvis website but when i final render the image, strange white halos appear around the shadow areas that interface with the ground plane. it seems as if everytime i render the final at a different resolution than when the IM was calculated, this happens. am i doing something wrong? did i miss something? ill post a screen soon. im using IM and DMC to render.

    thanks.

That shouldn't really matter, but you don't have to precalculate the IR map if you don't want to. If you do calculate the IR map during the final render at high resolution, then you need to decrease you're Min/Max rate one step for each time your resolution has been doubled from 800x600. Take a look at the large scene webinar and notes....that will give more details.
