  • Can't Resolve Sun Issue

    Hi everybody,

I'm currently running into a sun issue which I just can't seem to resolve. Just to note I haven't added lights or a sun system.

In the Environment and Background Slot, I'm using a Sky Map. For some reason by doing this it always gives me northern light. Is there a way to edit the settings to give me a different direction of light?

If by skymap you mean HDRI background, you can rotate it in the Environment settings. Make sure your UVW setting is as 'environment'.

Just noticed you are a Rhino user, so I'm not sure how to resolve it using Rhino sorry.

The reason for that is because you are using the default Rhino light and the default rhino light is attached to the camera. So you will always get the shadow at the same direction. You should create a sun system and link the sun with the environment Sky map.
