Hi Again guys, my last post was giberish and I've since experimented some more, so here goes:
It seems that the size of the scene has a lot to do with whether or not the slaves will connect to the host, for example, I have tried a small scene and they connect with no issues and then I would try a much larger scene, such as a solely 'extracted render mesh' model of 150mb and the slaves will give the following error message, even though the host can render it with no issues.
'Ping not received from host 0.0.0.0 for 59328 millisecdons, dropping connection
Render host unknwon (192.168.0.2) is not responding'
It would give the same message for each slave but the millisecond value varies for each. Would this be a problem with the host or the slaves? As far as I know, each machine has the same DRspawner build (I just copied the DRspawner folder from ASGVIS application data folder onto the desktop of each slave) Im also using the latest version of VFR. The host PC is running 64bit XP as is one of the slaves but the other slave is running 32bit XP. Would this be an issue?
I hope this is enough to go on and I hope someone can help. Im currently trying to do a couple of very complex scenes and doing them on one machine will take a lot longer.
Thanks
kyle
P.S. Dalomor- I've noticed you have given advice for a similar problem and I hope you can help, thanks
