Hello all,
This is a very broad question perhaps inviting a spread of responses.
Ive got quite of bit of experience with graphi design and even sketchup but Vraying is still slightly new to me. Ive always been very interested in process and efficiency when doing these things though. SO i want to throw this one way out there:
Q: It takes me about an hour to run a render just to find out the materials are wrong/ lighting/etc.
When modelling 1 room and using a library of materials what really is the best order of events when building an image? Mine is this
1. model the room
2. apply materials without editiing
3. run a full render(otherwise i dont see anything properly)
4. adjust.
and repeat 3+4 which is taking hours, days, weeks at the moment.
Are there tricks to correctly mapping textures first time around (rhino rendering viewport only shows 1 or 2 materials and often the texture mapping is different from the render result anyway).
Thank you for your time.
Chris
Edit: I just discovered the right click on render to render part of the scene, these are the types of tricks i need! please share your thoughts
