  • Using V-Ray Raw Image File

I was wondering if anyone else has run into this issue:

I started to use the V-Ray Raw Image File because Rhino kept crashing when I tried to render a large scene (2700x1200). The 3dm file is 116mb. After I convert the VRImage to EXR, when I open it in Photoshop the image is washed out.

Raw output images are saved with Gamma = 1,
    so in photoshop:

Image > Adjustment > Exposure > Set your Gamma

You should use the inverse of the gamma that you use in Rhino. If your gamma is 2.2 in Rhino, you should use 1/2.2 = .4545 in PS. Type .4545 for the gamma in PS.
