    Re: Physical camera sun+lighting problem

    okay,
first of all, I'd like to make you understand that you're dealing with a really small company here. I'm quite sure that the guys at ASGVIS do as much as they can to provide support for their product.
And then, there is this forum where some of the private and corporate VfR and VfSU users spend their freetime to help other people with their own expertise.

Concerning your scene, I was wondering why your car paint doesn't have a diffuse layer. I've reset all the materials (merely because you didn't pack any textures) and rendered it with standard materials (except tyres and glass) and using my standard .visopt file (apart from your hdri and camera settings):

    Important settings I've used are:
    - sun system:
    set to my location
    intensity multiplier: 0.3
    shadow bias: 1
    shadow subdivs: 10

    edit:
    - GI:
    sky
    uses sun as light source
    no parameter override!

    - background, reflection maps multiplier: 10

    - groundplane: hdri background image environment mapping channel (multiplier: 1), circular fade transparency map

    - physical camera:
    shutter speed: 250
    f-stop: 4
    film speed: 100
    white balance: rgb 239,242,255
    DOF (subdivs: 10)

Using the standard materials that came with V-Ray the rendering (0:2:56) looks like this:

If you have any questions, just keep on posting
We'll get back to you whenever we can.
