Dear everyone,
I was wondering if anyone could give me some much needed advice on improving my diamonds. I've looked at a few threads which pointed me in the right direction (thank god for them) but I do have a problem with diamonds having to many spectral colours in them. My dilemma is to keep them white without losing depth in the stone....
i joined a pic below of a shallow and bright +settings for the pic... every time i use a background map (basically the same as my refraction map) as i think i should, i get the funky colours filling my stone!! puke.. dont want that..
Eeer also! do i need to have double sided on in options? i saw in a thread that you had to do something to it but cant remember or find that thread again. i have it unabled in this render.
I'm using the physical camera by the way so decreasing the multiplier on my refraction map will make my stone dark or dull.
I have plenty of nice gem and diamond maps to share with anyone who can help lots of love xJo
