Hello folks,
I'm wondering what I'm doing wrong when trying the following:
_assign white Toon material to loudspeaker model
_assign black grid material (using Grid option in transparency layer) to spherical cap in front of speaker
_hit render button
...and everything behind the speaker grid appears 100% black.
I've already learned a few things about Toon material, including the fact that it always draws outlines around other objects in the foreground or the effects of Normal Threshold. But no matter how i put the settings, it seems that Toon material can't handle transparency maps correctly.
I'm I mistaken?
What's the solution?
Quick help would be much appreciated - for now, I've just got a Photoshop overlay to work around.
Cheers,
Matt!
