  • SAving Calculations

When the calculations of the LC and IM are saved wich parameters are saved? in other words, after saving those files wich parameters can be tweaked in the V-Ray options without changind anything in the calculation? for example can i tweak sampling? or color mapping?

    Re: SAving Calculations

For IM, the following settings can be changed as they are not used until render time...
    + Samples
    + Interpolation Type
    + Sample Lookup
    + Calc Samples

For LC, its a bit fewer, but here's the list..
    + Filter
    + Interpolation Samples

In general, you still have quite a bit of control for IM with a saved calculation, as there's a lot that you can adjust through Samples and the reconstruction parameters. With LC, there's a bit less, but that's also due to the difference in how the algorithms are structured. Either way, its very hard to squeeze a better solution out of a calculate that's sub par. At best you can smooth it out, but if the quality isn't there to start, then you won't be able to do all that much with it.
