I have been learning Vray, and am a bit overwhelmed by all the options. I have been trying everything, but just cant seem to get this render realistic enough. I dont know if it is my materials or the render options or the lighting. I seem to be struggling most with the right options/lighting combo. I have been going through the forum and watching every video possible, but just havent struck anything I like just yet.
Here is a simple render I was toying with. As you can see, it doesnt look anywhere close to the renders I see on here. I think my biggets problem is the harsh sunlight coming in. Is there any way to 'feather' it so that it isnt so strong? Is there any way to turn the sun down? I have tried with the multiplier in the options and in the sunlight settings, but nothign seems to work. Any help you guys can give me to make this better would really be appreciated. Also, when you guys add in trees and stuff to the background (seen through windows), so you just make a plane and map an image onto it? Or do you use and environment map? If you need any other info on the settings I used, I will upload them ASAP
