  • Setup Safe Frame and background image

    Hi

I need to export a render to post prod in photoshop. What I always did(with 3ds max) is that I place the background image from psd in the background of rhino, show the safe frame and adjust the camera to fit the perspective and angle. Normally, this work pretty good.

In rhino, it seem that I can't get the background image to fit the safe frame. First, the safe frame use the custom resulution in document properties/render/resolution. The background image size wich can be found in viewport properties, cannot be modified but automaticly change to fit viewport size. If I et up my safe frame to fit this image size, it seem to only adjust width to fit viewport height. Result: the background image is always too small so I must make my object bigger by guessing it.

Is there another way to work it around? How would you place the background image with the safe frame?

    Thank you very much

Re: Setup Safe Frame and background image

The safe frame used by Rhino does not automatically adjust to the v-ray render output. you can use this script to make it match:

Then set the rhino viewport to match the v-ray output also
