I imported a chair model as an OBJ, and assigned material to it. For some reason the legs will not accept a map on them. They just come out flat brown without any texture to them. The screenshot shows you what I am talking about. i placed a box next to it so you can see what the material is. The material is applied to both. If I switch to a default material, the legs turn grey so it isnt a linked texture. Any ideas? I've tried everything.

Re: material not being applied to surface?
Looks like the UV coordinates are lost. If you don't see the texture at the rendered viewport, than ask at the Rhino forum, because it's an import issue.www.simulacrum.de - visualization for designer and architects

Re: material not being applied to surface?
I attempted to explode it, but that did not change anything. I decided to just recreate the leg in NURBS so it should apply fine on the new part. I will have to look into the UV coordinates. I have never had that problem before and would be interested in learning more about it. I tried applying the texture with surface mapping, but it still would not work even thought he widget was in the correct place. Any idea on how the coordinates would get lost?

Can you send us the scene with the texture?
