  • Apply video as a texture on the surface.

    Hello everyone, using Vray for Rhino Is Possible to apply the video on the surface, to make an animation video That would move like a TV screen.
    Is it possible?
    Do not know if I was clear!

    cad, i think you should look for a video editor, such as after effects, you could easily make that with that software.

      YEP VFR does not support Video as texture, besides, Rhino Either.

          I don't know of any render program that lets you use video for a texture. After Effects if what I use, I render all of my objects in Vray, Set my HDRI, and drop the ground plane and environment to be a green screen color, and then add whatever video footage or backgrounds I need, all done in After Effects. The nice thing i am learning is that using Matrix/Rhino together with this Object Animation Builder, I have been able to create everything I need and want for my movie. It is far more simple, yet it is also advanced and has an easier curve then 3DS' method. So, Create 3D Model in Rhino > Add material & HDRI > Drop Green Screen surroundings > Open Object Animation Builder > Set my camera paths > Render > Drop Footage into After Effects.

            3dsmax Scanline lets put a video as a texture.
