  • Windows 7, Bongo, and File type

I got a new computer with Windows 7 and I have installed Rhino 4, Bongo 2.0, and Vray and I get the following message when I try to render a video: "File type not supported by current renderer." I don't get the message when I switch the Current Renderer to Rhino Render. It worked fine on computers with XP and Vista.

V-Ray for Rhino doesn't render to video, it only renders still images, or series of still images. Rhino Render can render to a video format, which is why it works when you select that as the current renderer. The operating system you're using should have nothing to do with it, it's just a feature we don't support.

Sorry. I am using Bongo to render the video using Vray as the renderer. On both my XP and Vista computers, it works. On my new Windows 7 computer, Bongo gives the message "File type not supported by current renderer". It is probably a Bongo problem, but I thought I'd ask here in case anyone else came up against this problem.

Oh... I didn't realize Bongo compiled our still images in to video. Must be something they do, we don't support rendering to video in VfR itself.
