X-ray lights render differently on different versions of vRay

Attached is a comparison of two renders of the same scene using the same x-ray light material downloaded from your website- rendered using two versions of vray. As you can see, the material renders differently on the new vray beta.

I prefer how it renders on the current 1.05.29 build. Is there any way to get it to render the same way in the beta? Am I doing something wrong?

Please, make a bug ticket about this issue and attached the scene file. You could use the new bug report tool located on the V-Ray menu.

I can't see the bug report tool in my Vray menu. I just get: Options, Material Editor, Show VFB, Debug Window, Help. And I don't see an icon on the vray toolbar either.

Or do you mean somewhere else?

In the Rhino main Menu, you should see a V-Ray menu and in the V-Ray menu you will find the Report bug tool. You where looking on the toolbar, but I was referring to the main menu. Please see attached image. The report bug tool is basically a new tool to make easy report the bugs to us.

I think you have an old beta. Please update it. You can find the new beta in our download area.

Great! That is the easy way to report a bug. You can also attache the scene in the same tool.
