  • V-Ray License Error

I just started getting an error. When I open Rhino v5 with V-Ray 1.5 beta, I get a "V-Ray License Error" dialog box that says:

"Unable to acquire license - please shut down Rhino and run the license wizard or check with your network administrator if you are using a floating license."

I have not changed anything on my computer in the past few days. It is a work computer. For Rhino v4, we have a floating license, but I'm not sure what we have for Rhino v5 or how that was set up on my machine.

It worked the last time I used it, but no more! Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Our beta uses a demo license, which was set to expire after 60 days. We extended the beta period an additional 30 days, so I'm sure there will be others that receive this message as well. We have granted extensions on everyone's beta demo, so all you should need to do to get a new demo license, is reinstall. You should be able to use that installation for the remainder of the beta period.

Thanks. I'll give the reinstall a try and see how that works out.
