Can we use vray 1.05 and vray 1.5 parallel with Rhino 4.0?

Hello Chaos Group Team,

Right now I run Rhino 4.0 and vray 1.05 and Rhino 5.0 and vray 1.5 parallel on the same machine.
Right now, due to different grave problems I face when opening old scenes from Rhino 4 / vfr 1.05 in the new Rhino 5.0 / vfr 1.5 package, I cannot use the second mentioned approach.
I would therefore like to install the Rhino 4.0 version of vfr 1.5, to see which problems I face are related to the combination with Rhino 5.0.

On the other hand I wouldn't like to loose the only working combination right now, so my question is :

Can I have both vfr 1.05 and 1.5 installed parallel together with Rhino 4.0, without damaging the old 1.05 Installation and quickly switch between them ?

I just double checked with Fernando to make sure he hasn't had any problems with having 1.05 installed to Rhino 4 and 1.5 installed to Rhino 5, and he says that it's working fine for him. I believe he's using the latest Rhino 5 64bit beta.

thanks for your replie, but I wanted to know if I can have vfr1.05 and vfr1.5 both installed with rhino 4.0 the same time without problems, the solution you mentioned above is how I currently have set it up...

Oh my, you're absolutely right! I'm sorry, I must have misread your post. You can't have 2 versions of our plugin installed to Rhino 4 as far as I know, because they have the same plugin ID.

1.5 for Rhino 5 64bit and 1.05 for Rhino 32bit works at the same machine here.

right, but that's the setup he currently has. He's trying to have 1.05 and 1.5 installed to the same installation of Rhino 4.
