Hello all,
i mapped a bitmap to the transparency of a unicolored material to define a certain shape for a surface.
Now i want to fade out this shape to full transparency towards the upper edge of the surface.
I need to control this fade out gradient for fine tuning. Therefore i do not want to edit the transparency "shape-bitmap", but i use the ColorMultiplier function to put an black-to-white TexUVW texture using only the v-direction.
But this TexUVW seems hard to control. It seems not to be possible to control how the gradient is changing from black to white. I would like to have it white for a pretty long way and then turn into black pretty fast on the end.
Is there an other way but TexUVW to map a gradient which can be controlled from within VRay? The posibility to control gradients in a photoshop-like way would be great.
Kind regards
