  • V Ray for Rhino in Rhino 4 vs 5

    Hello Everyone!
I am looking for your opinions. For the past couple of months I have been using Rhino 5 betas. Now that it isnt in beta anymore and we have to buy it, I have to choose whether or not to beg my company to get 5 or not. Yes, its only $300ish for the time being. The problem is money. If VRay in 4 does the same thing as it does in 5, my company isnt going to spend the money to upgrade it.

So what do you think. Do I try harder to convince them that I NEED Rhino 5? Or will be just be a matter of convenience?

    Thanks a lot!

    Hi
V-Ray for Rhino 4 and V-Ray for Rhino 5 have exactly the same features, there is not difference. However Rhino 5 have the new texture mapping that it is very powerful comparing with the texture mapping option in Rhino 4. The new display mode on Rhino 5 make very easy to work with your model.
Talking about Rhino, Rhino 5 have over 2000 enhancement to make your modeling workflow even easier. Again in term of V-Ray, there no difference.

If you have a 64bit OS, than you can use much more RAM for Rhino 5 64bit and get much complexer scenes rendered.
