Great to see the tool growing.

For me as advanced user it would be great if GI cache tool could be used independent from the VfR simple, since it automatic change some settings. Maybe you could extract the cache code to two button scripts - one for "reuse GI cache" and one for "disable GI cache".

I agree - I'm not happy that all these defaults get automatically set every time, I'm thinking about just having a separate button to set the defaults. And I'll definitely start breaking the panels out also. Maybe a section just for indirect illumination, another for render output and exposure, etc.

when you say GI cache, you mean IRMap right? What about LC? Or is there another cache for all GI?

For GI cache I mean caching IM and LC. It's cumbersome to rerender image with this caches yet, a quick switch is missing.

Ok yes, that's next for me to work on. The IRmap cache save function was fixed by Joe, ill have to look at LC.

safe frame now works correctly even if the file rhino options start out set to "viewport resolution"

otherwise i'm very behind on my wishlist for this, but swamped, probably won't do more until the holidays.

well it's been a LONG time, but i've finally been able to get this tool 100% functional! thanks to the Chaosgroup USA team for giving access in the latest release 2.00.25962 to all the options i needed!

here's what's new:
- Warning message if you don't want it to change your defaults
- Custom Render button linked to lens shift switch and warns if rendering non-perspective views
- Image sampler slider can finally detect settings
- faster starting

next i'll work on Micha's suggestions above for saving caches, and also breaking this up into smaller dialogs so the whole thing doesn't have to be on screen all the time.
