    Hi there!

    I have a problem with the appearence of my material: I would like to have a structure like shown in the attachement. But I don't want it to be only horizontally but also vertically. And I only want to use bump map and no displacement map.

    The image attached to this post shows the same material applied to the wall. But with different rotations of the mapping. As you can see, the vertical structure gets completely lost, except in the shadow area of the big window. How can I achieve that the vertical structure appears just like the horizontal one? I really need help!

    Settings are: lighting ist just GI. Irradiance map with light cache, normal settings, ambient occlusion enabled. As soon there is some light shining on the wall, it's no problem. Just with GI or in the shadows...

    I hope that one of you guys can help me with this issue! It's quite urgent and quick help would be greatly appreciated!

    In a soft light environment bump can't be shown like with a directed light. It's the same in the real world. In the near of the ground and in the shadowed area the soft lighting is light directed. So, aything is right and you need to lock for an other way. For example use the structure texture at the diffuse layer of the material too.

      Hello toniboni

      Bump textures are working best with direct light - and it is very difficult to generate details with bump when such light is missing.
      Is it possible to attach this scene - we will try to find a way to render this details.
