  • No buckets

Was wondering what is going on. I have set up a real simple scene with one sun as the only light. In environment I have GI turned on and background on as well. I have GI on with primary being Irradiance map and secondary as light cache.

I am using Rhino 5 and VRay 2 on a macpro.

This set up I never see any buckets when I render. The top icons in the render window stay grayed out. The progress window's last line says Setting up 1 thread(s). The top progress bar says 0%. Wondering why. I set up other similar scenes and I get the buckets.

Ahha. I have to have RT checked off (in the VRay options) to get the buckets. Hmmm wonder why. Doesn't that stand for Real Time?

yes RT means Real Time this is why you done have buckets,it is progressive refinement.

With the standard rendering, you do have buckets.

Doah. I thought the realtime was just for the viewport.
