  • SR1 - Bump display in viewport... how to turn it off

    Hi all,
In SR1 displacement and bump are shown in the rendered viewport. For me this doesn't work (see attached image)
So is there a way to turn this off?

    thanks, Tobias

    Hi Tobias
The bump mapping in the viewport is a rhino option that we support now. However to control the amount of bump, we still have to do that in the Rhino materials. So, there are two option:
    1. turn off the bump mapping in the viewport for every material in the scene. To do that you have to go to the Rhino option and then go to the view setting. Then go to the render mode and disable the "Use advanced GPU lighting" option. The only problem is that you will not be able to use that option for other effect in the viewport.
    2. you can go to the Rhino material properties for the material that you want to control the bump, then disable the "plugin" option to have access to the rhino material option. You will see that the bump is all the way to 100%, you can reduce that to 10% and then enable the "plugin" option back. This will give you a subtle and nice bump map.

Hi Fernando, thanks for your answer and thoroughly explanations!
Turning off advanced GPU lighting works for my kind of models.
