  • Adding colors to the swatches

    Hi,

We work a lot with NCS colors for interiors and it would be great to have them inside Vray. Right now it's a quite tedious process for me when testing different colors. I understand it's a license issue to add them inside Vray from your side so my question is this:

Is there a way to change/add to the swatch palette inside Vray when selecting colors? I will convert the NCS colors to RGB of course.

    Hi Jenzie
Unfortunately, we could not switch the color palette at this moment. However, I believe is is a great idea to be able to do it in the future. I guess it is something to add in V-Ray 3.0 for Rhino.

Thank you for your answer, I'm glad you might implement this in the future. I got some more ideas for this.

      - Put the list in an XML file so it's easy to generate/edit colors externally.
      - Make the swatch list global.
      - Group/folder function that can be expanded/minimized for sets of colors.
      - Possibility to import .ase files that Adobe use. NCS has their system in .ase format free for download. I think most color systems are available in this format.
