  • Batch render - questions and wishes

    Hi,

today I tested the batch render tool first time and I ask me, for what can be used the "bongo" option?

Additional one wish - a history option could allow to enable that all rendered images are kept at the frame buffer history for curve adjustment. Could be useful to enable a "history only" mode without automatic save to the file directory.
(I know I can manual enable the history before starting the batch render.)

Wish for the frame buffer - double click on the history thumbnail could load the image to the frame buffer.

    Ciao,
    Micha

The Batch render will render just one frame from files that you have in your hard drive. So, let said that you want to to a batch render of two bongo animation that you had setup in two different Rhino files and one frame from the current scene that you are working on. So, you will batch two animation (let said 300 frame per animation) and one additional single shot. If you don't enable the "Bongo" option for the two bongo animation V-Ray will render only one frame of those two animation, instead of the 300 frame that each animation should have. So by enabling it, V-Ray will render 300 frame from the first animation, 300 frame from the second and the single still shot.

Additional one wish - a history option could allow to enable that all rendered images are kept at the frame buffer history for curve adjustment. Could be useful to enable a "history only" mode without automatic save to the file directory.

In V-Ray 3.0 for Rhino the VFB history has an option to automatically save an image after it get rendered.

Wish for the frame buffer - double click on the history thumbnail could load the image to the frame buffer.
This is also available in V-Ray 3.0 for Rhino.
