  • Looking For Tutor - Vray For Rhino

    Hello All,
I am a furniture designer and engineer in North Carolina. I am looking to hire a tutor to help me take my renderings to the next level. I feel like I am at an intermediate level within Vray for Rhino. I currently render mostly casegoods (tables, dressers, hard wood items) in a basic white studio. I would like to be able to take myself to the level to do photo realistic room scenes and upholstered furniture. Below are some links to my better renderings.

If you feel like you are able to help me take my renderings to the next level, please send me a message with your email included. I look forward to talking to you.

    Hi rey,

your rendering looks good, imho. Putting your peace of furniture in a room scene is pretty cool too, but also a bit tricky as it still has to stick out, like it does on a white background. Also, whole interior scenes mean longer render times and - if you wanna be smart - a one-time detailed build of the certain interior scene.
For my interior furniture (and also to test and achieve good render settings), I searched for an existing project, simple enough to not be distracting, but also interesting enough to make a nice setting for some cool interior stuff shots. Also, this needed to be covered in some arcitectural magazines or at least on the architect's homepage, so that floor plans, sections and good fotos of the building your interior room is a part of, are also available. The results of my search and build are to be seen here as a work in progress:

Read it through - the posters there gave a lot of good info, including some tipps for video tutorials and a book about stepping up your V-Ray game. I bought this book (http://www.cirosannino.it/en/) and it is pretty good. I'll soon make some updates, based on the book know how, soon.

Hope this helps you a bit.
    Cheers.
