  • Default Color Warning in Opacity Map (for decals without tiling)

    Hello there,
after searching for hours, I finally got to the bottom of my latest problem:

Trying to add a decal to a material, I created a BRDF layer on top where I loaded a b/w opacity bitmap in a separate mapping channel and disabled tiling. Organised respective mapping placement and seemed ready to go.
Upon rendering, it would show a dimmed base material outside the decal.

Please create a warning* when U/V tiling is being unchecked so that users have the possibility to learn about the importance of the Default Color setting with regards to total transparency!
(Or maybe let's rethink the term "Default Color" because I've overlooked it a thousand times)

    Thank you!

    Hello frip51,

I have logged a ticket for that and our dev team will take a look into it. It would indeed be a good idea to make the Default Color parameter more obvious. Thank you for your feedback.

    Kind regards,
    Natali
