  • Wish for Vray-Next for Rhino - cleaned UI

    Hi,

one of my biggest wishes for VfR is a revised UI where important options are placed together without to much sub menus and unimportant options in an advanced option sub menu. Please look here for details:
    https://discourse.mcneel.com/t/v-ray...-rhino/74382/6

It would be great if a beta team of users could post suggestions and together the UI is enhanced.

    Thank you for your feedback!
For V-Ray Next the NeUI is undergoing a major development, mainly focused on the Asset Editor. While most of the changes are under the surface, asset handling and properties have been all updated as well.
A preview of some of the changes will be available in the upcoming V-Ray Next for Rhino beta.
Basic and Advanced material properties are still being worked on so they may not make it in the initial beta build but once implemented, they will appear less intimidating.
You will find some of the requests you've made have been met. The main drive for the material options redesign is the major change in the underlying plugin structure. Once all this is available for testing any further comments will be appreciated!

    Kind regards,
    Peter

        Hello Peter,
are there any news about VfR Next beta? Using my RTX 2070 on Courseware scenes seemed extremely unstable in VfR 3.6, so I'm being very curious about the next version. Thank you
        Jonas

          Hello, Jonas,
For assistance with any instability you have experienced in V-Ray 3.6 for Rhino while using the GPU engine, please describe the issue in detail in an email addressed at support@chaosgroup.com
Regarding V-Ray Next for Rhino, it is currently in a closed beta stage. If you wish to participate, please send me a PM or email (again at support@chaosgroup.com) mentioning your field of work.

          Kind regards,
          Peter
