No answer here? I had to revert back to V-Ray 5.10.06 due to all the crashes I have with GPU rendering. I don't think it is a VRAM issue because I have two A6000 video cards with 48GB each.
Also, the same scenes are crashing on V-Ray 5.2.1 are rendering perfectly and faster in V-Ray 5.10.06

      Hi javierrentas
I have the same problems as You with vray 5.2 for sketchup, for me vray gpu is taking so much vram... And is almost imposible to use the new build Even 2.1, it crashes a Lot, it feels very unstable update 2.1 for sketchup, Also in sketchup is happening the same with vray gpu light cache, when You render with gpu and in a Big resolution light cache appears black, i don't see anything until start rendering vray gpu, this is the first time in all My live with vray that a Big update doesnt work... and i read that ipr has a Lot of Bugs that have to be resolved... I really hope vray gpu team finds a solution to this... With vray is almost everything fine... But this is happening every day with vray gpu... Something doesnt work, a Bug, vram problems... I render with vray gpu 2 2080ti + nvlink, as You said before with update 1 hotfix 5 all My scenes renders perfectly then You changed to update 2 and the same scene, same settings and same hardware and it crashes.

But then you said it still crashes with a Lot of vram from your gpu... Then probably this update wasnt ready when it was realesed... But vray users are enjoing update 2 and vray gpu users only get crashes...

      Cheers!!!

        Hi javierrentas,

Can you please share some more details about this crash?
What do you do to cause it?

I am not able to reproduce by just rendering.
Interactive rendering and scene manipulations also don't seem to cause it for me.

        Thank you in advance,
        Konstantin

It just crashes when I try to do IR or production rendering with RTX.
          In my case
          - open the scene
          - Click IR
Rhino crashes and the whole computer hangs. I have to restart the computer
The same thing happened with production rendering in RTX

                Hello, @javierrentas,
Do you use distributed rendering (Swarm toggle enabled) when the crashes occur?
We were still unable to reproduce the problem on our side using various hardware and gpu driver combinations.

It would be best to assist you directly via TeamViewer if you feel comfortable with it.
Please let me know if there is time & date you find suitable.

                Kind regards,
                Peter

                  Hi Peter
It will be great if we could do a TeamViewer on Monday, December 27. Maybe around 11pm ET?

The issue was identified to be caused by translucent objects affecting Wrapper matte materials (shadow catchers).
                      A solution is pending.
Will keep this thread updated on the progress of our dev teams.
