Okay, I did a little thinking and came up with an idea that could help those of us who are using the same material for more than one object in different layers.
If we could have a "Save Settings" option in the material editor in Rhino that could write a text file and a "Load Settings" option that could then read the file and load the settings from it, it would make life a little easier. So instead of manually cloning a material over and over we could just save/load the settings on demand.
This would also make it easier for you guys to debug problems that may be occurring in the materials them selves, and allow users to share their material settings with others.
