  • One simple Tutorial, to get someone started...

i've got no clue what i'm doing wrong, but i can only render black frames.

is there a simple tutorial that can just explain how to render a sphere on a ground plane with vray for Rhino?

    thanks!

    Theory13,

    Here is a quick tutorial.

    1. Start Rhino>Choose V-Ray for Rhino as you current renderer under Render>Current Renderer>Vray for Rhino

    2. Create your plane and sphere. Adjust camera to your desired render view.

    3. Setup the V-Ray rendering options from the V-Ray menu>Options as follows:

Under the Indirect Illumination tab set GI to ON.

    4. Apply V-Ray material(s): Select the sphere>Get object properties menu>Select Material from the combo box at the top of the object properties window>Plug-in>Create>Custom V-Ray Material>Set Diffuse color to Red>select OK to exit. Apply the same process for the plane.

    5. Render

This should give you a starting point.

    Best regards,
