Yeah then it depends on what you wanna do. For pure stills I think vray for rhino is as good as vray for max (if displacement is added too ). Exporting to max can also be a big issue, even with great plugins for that matter currently available.

Yes I have it too, it is the best thing ever.

But the whole point they're making vray for rhino is to remove the need for exporting. For example modeling in v4 and then having to render in v3 would be a real pity

If you can model and then when everything is 100% complete, this is no problem, but when lots of changes are needed, the whole export/import thing can become a hassle (even with npower).

I also think that people who have max already, will most probably buy vray for max because there are many many tools in max which make life a lot easier. To name just one thing is mapping, which rhino is really in a premature state now, and the chances of getting equally good mapping tools in rhino are zero (rhino will still be a modeler in the first place).

(ps I have the impression you think I'm trying to question your thoughts, which isn't the case )

          no no..
I think exactly the same way as you do.

I would like to have the same quality mapping.

Thats exaktly the point why vray seems to work that fine for me and I`m having serious problems with maxwell.
