The space for buttons is limited and don't forget the new user - it could be nice if a new user must not create buttons or learn hidden commands. It's only a small wish.
Wish ... I would like to choose between, that invisible lights are visible in reflections or not. Current invisible lights are visible for diffuse surfaces, but not for reflective surfaces and this looks some times strange.
It would be good, if the progress bar of the render progress window is at the top of the window instead the bottom, than I could move the window to the right upper rhino inteface corner, so that only the progress bar is visible.
Now I can not find a good place to place the render progress window, so that I see the bar, but not the whole window.
wow man, 430 posts ... I leave you alone for a few days and you spam the forum :P
by the end of this, it will no longer be Vray ... it will be "Micha-Ray"
... and I will not be tired to push the Vray development. It's my best tool for my daily work. Without Vray I could not do my work.
It makes fun to see Vray for Rhino growing. Thanks to the ASGvis team.
... wish: "invisible" options for light materials, better for all materials. I mean, that an object is not visible for the camera, but visible for all other effects like reflections ... . It's so difficult to render small room interior. Clip planes or walls "invisible for camera" are a must.
Joe, what do you think about the problem/wish some posts befor here - invisible rectangle lights are not visible in reflections?
... wish: some times I start my scene with the basic rhino materials. Later, I decide to use the vray material and press "create". It could be nice, if the vray material would based on the rhino material - important for me are color and texture.

There is no reason really to use basic material settings. They just get converted to VRay materials anyway. Also VRay materials set all the basic properties that they share with Rhino materials.

Joe, you realy could improve it.
Example: I use a lowpoly tree generator and import the 3d model per *.vrml file. The rhino material texture and color are set per imported 3d file. If I press "create" material (because I want to add a plastic reflection), than Vray use a grey color and no map. It could be great, if I must not start to manual set the texture path and the color again.
