some weeks befor I have read this and now if I enable bump maps I got this sharp shadow edge. I suppose so, a disabled selfshadowing could help to get a smoother shadow border. The meshartefacts are not visible, because I have set the mesh at a very high polycount.

... quick done a second test with very low poly. Now it is good to see.
