    Yeah Andy has been working with us for quite a while - what his statement means is that RCM is an "interface". I don't know really how to explain that in non-programming terms. Basically it provides an outline - but we still need to plug our own stuff into it. It still requires us to put our code into it - without our code it will have no idea how to render V-Ray materials / lights.

      if you consider my advice
      you can hire for example micha for building a new material library
      i think he can do a great library for vray
      and if you hire him and the some of the other leading users as professional or give a special discount to their vray licences you might really improve the application
      the rendering application are still can greatly improved by workflow and gui
      but only the leading artists might help you on that issues

        We are in the process of outsourcing some various things to improve our application - materials are one facet.

          Ok RCM is just a shell but what about the RDK? Could this be useful?!

            the RDK looks like it is the formalized SDK that we have been referring to just as RCM. We've had access to this for some time via Andy- but it was still being developed.
