  • distributed rendering

This is a question and a wish, with regards to distributed rendering. I have a render server which is set up for max9; the render server’s operating system is Fedora Core Linux OS and is run from CD as is mental ray.
I wish the executable for vray distributed rendering would also run on this Linux CD, is there a Linux based version of vrays distributed rendering application “or can there be”.
This is a link to the company “ARTVPS” that makes the render server, you can see the spec at [url/] http://www.artvps.com/page/102/renderserver.htm

    Thanks

    Re: distributed rendering

I believe that the V-Ray core does have a linux build so I wouldn't say its an impossibility. We'll look into it

Thanks very much Joe any help on this would be greatly appreciated.
It would be great to be able to use the power of the render server with Rhino and vray.
      Thanks again Joe
