  • Render Preflight - System Resources Check-up

    It'd be nice to have a button that checks on whether a scene will overload the computer system and lead to a program crash.
    I imagine it to be a window popping up, displaying a list with things like

    - maximum polygon count possible on the machine
    - maximum RAM memory
    - maximum swap file memory

    - no. of polygons used in scene
    - amount of memory used for RAM
    - amount of memory used for swap file

    - estimated render time
    - crash warning

    etc...

    The idea behind this is to be able to easily rate possible steps of optimisation to be undertaken in order to guarantee a successful rendering.

    What do you think?
