    Improvements & Bug Fixes
    • The default and minimum widths of the Cosmos browser are both decreased to 480 pixels to better fit the new narrow UI layout
    • The size of the V-Ray Material Library is decreased to ensure faster downloads. This is done by applying a compression to most texture image files. An update of existing libraries will not be required. When a fresh instance of the library is downloaded, however, the compressed textures will be used
    • An issue causing the Material Library Download message to incorrectly appear in specific situations is resolved
    • Creating or loading .vrmat assets no longer causes an interactive rendering update. Changing parameters of an asset which is not used in the scene also no longer leads to an interactive update
    • Displacement textures using UVW Placement source no longer lead to an incorrectly displaced mesh to be generated when Normal Displacement mode is selected
    • All V-Ray special objects (Proxies, Fur, Clipper, etc.) can now be hidden during interactive rendering using the Hide function, the Outliner or Tags/Layers
    • macOS: Exporting an object as a Proxy Scene and overwriting an existing file no longer leads to a crash
    • Purging assets in the Asset Editor no longer deletes all Section Planes in the model
    • SketchUp’s texture size changes and colorization adjustments are now correctly applied during interactive rendering
    • Renaming a material using square brackets (‘[‘, ‘]’) no longer causes a material duplicate to be created
    • Changes to the Water Level displacement parameters no longer cause issues during interactive RTX rendering
    • The V-Ray Ruby API documentation now contains code examples
    • The backend logic that handles mesh previews in V-Ray is now shared between the Proxy Scenes, Proxy Meshes and Cosmos assets. This improves reliability and stability
    • Scene assets other than settings can no longer be saved in a .vropt file. This avoids a number of issues that arise from loading a .vropt containing materials or lights
    • The View-port Rendering (VPR) overlay opacity can now be changed using ‘Ctrl’ and the ‘+’ or ‘-’ numpad keys
    • The ‘Auto Save Completed Only’ VFB option now works as expected
    • The Rounded Edges effect no longer glitches on view change during interactive GPU (CUDA or RTX) rendering
    • Opacity textures are no longer rendered incorrectly on GPU when the On-demand mipmapping Resize option is enabled
    • Rendering a car paint material with flake size set to 0 no longer leads to a crash
    • Lowering the refraction glossiness of a VRay Mtl below 0.78 now correctly decreases the effect - in a linear fashion
