    Improvements & Bug Fixes
    • An issue causing doubling of the Max Subdivs quality value when the GPU engine is selected is resolved
    • An issue causing Cosmos assets from projects saved with V-Ray 6 and older to load incorrectly is resolved
    • An issue causing an excessive number of entries to be added to the SketchUp’s undo stack is resolved
    • Cosmos assets refresh button implemented. Use it to update Cosmos assets in projects saved with older V-Ray versions, ensuring that new features like material overdrive slots and asset variations become available in the UI. Note that this action is not performed automatically to avoid potential slowdowns during scene loading caused by file system calls
    • macOS: An issue preventing Enscape 4.2.1 assets from being rendered in V-Ray is resolved
    • macOS: An issue leading to a crash on Enmesh assets import from Cosmos is resolved

      Known issues and limitations
      • V-Ray GPU: The bump amount of a material is ignored if an additional "Round Edges" effect is applied to the same shader
      • Swarm rendering requires an Origin node to be manually selected by running an executable script that configures the set machine
      • There is an issue related to the V-Ray Viewport Rendering overlay in SketchUp 2024, caused by the transition to a new and optimized API introduced in this SketchUp version. On Windows, the issue results in artifacts appearing over the viewport render, while macOS users may be unable to use V-Ray entirely. The recommended solution is to update SketchUp to its latest version - 24.0.594
      • V-Ray cannot be used in SketchUp 2023 or earlier versions if the OS username contains non-Latin characters. To resolve this issue, it is recommended to update SketchUp to the latest version
      • A crash when interacting with the VFB can occur due to macOS accessibility settings. Disabling specific accessibility features (like the keyboard accessibility) resolves the issue
      • The V-Ray toolbar buttons are unusable when the LordOfTheToolbars extension is installed and active. An updated version of the extension addressing this issue will be published by Fredo6 soon
We’re aware of these limitations and are actively working to address them.
Your patience and understanding are greatly appreciated as we continue to improve.
