Background image png problem

It would be very practical IF the background image (used in 'foreground') would work as intended. A transparent PNG is not transparent when chosen, it simply blocks out everything like a jpg. If working we could use it as a branding tool, for which we now use photoshop or gimp. Please rectify.

Hi,
Saving the file with a pre-set Background Image from the VFB is not possible at this moment. This issue is already logged in our system and our developers have did some work on it. The solution will be implemented in one of the upcoming updates (most likely right after V-Ray Next for SketchUp).
With that being said, loading a Background Image (used as a Foreground) is working fine with png files for display purposes. Please try using a different png file with proper alpha channel. Also, keep in mind that the V-Ray Frame Buffer will stretch the Background image to cover the entire render image so you may find it useful to resize the PNG to match the same Aspect ratio as the render output and to place the logo in the right place.
In conclusion, for the moment you can only attach a watermark via an image-editing software of your choice.
