  • Dirt tex in conjunction with mix(operator) render issue.

I think I've found a bug in Next when using Vray Dirt tex maps in conjunction with mix (operator).
I'm tooling around trying to create some procedural surface streaks. When I initiate an interactive render the streaks do not appear at all until I tweak any variable at which point they appear.
For standard renders it seems I cannot see streaks at all.

    these are CPU renders.

heres a screen cap of the interactive render

    and of the standard render

    thanks

    Hi robD,

I can't seem to reproduce this by building an example shader from scratch.
Can you please share the scene or a .vrmat file of the material that's causing issues?

    Regards,
    Konstantin

        Hello, Rob,
Recreated the shader structure based on the .vrscene you've shared but was not able to reproduce the issue.
Does an error message pop up when your project fails to export? Is there anything printed in the Ruby console?

        Kind regards,
        Peter

Hi Peter, I’ll try it again, I usually hold the messages window open during renders but I’ll try with ruby console open too.

inwas going to do a complete uninstall and reinstall as for some reason I cannot Pack Projects anymore (no file is output) or save render settings (immediate crash) so something screwey is going on.

          will let you know.
          cheers
