  • Exception in CORE: Internal error.

    Hi!

I already had two times the same issue with the same scene i want to render.

Render stops and V-Ray says: Exception in CORE: Internal error. Please save and restart as soon as possible!

    I did...same issue again.

I would need some support to finish the scene.

    My PC Specs:

    Threadripper 1920X 12-Core
    32GB DDR4
    NVIDIA GeForce GTX 1070Ti

    Render Engine: CPU only

Thanks a lot already in advance for your help!

    Hello LionHeart1985 ,

Could you please open your Progress Log (icon is found at bottom right corner of the V-Ray Frame Buffer) and check for any error messages.
Additionally, please follow up on the private message I have sent you.

      Hi Zahari.Ivanov

I was just testing to render the same scene with a lower resolution.

With 1920x1440 it worked, but with a higher resolution (tried it 2 times with 3840x2880) it seems that there might be a problem.

Also the Log looks not as it should.

It´s way too long that it fits into this post but a lot of

      Invalid geometric normal (0 0 0) for "<unknown>".
      Invalid geometric normal (0 0 0) for "<unknown>".
      Invalid geometric normal (-0 -0 0) for "<unknown>".
      Invalid geometric normal (0 0 0) for "<unknown>".
      Invalid geometric normal (-0 -0 0) for "<unknown>".
      Invalid geometric normal (-0 -0 0) for "<unknown>".
      Invalid geometric normal (-0 -0 0) for "<unknown>".
      Invalid geometric normal (0 0 0) for "<unknown>".
      Invalid geometric normal (-0 -0 0) for "<unknown>".
      Invalid geometric normal (0 0 0) for "<unknown>".
      Invalid geometric normal (0 0 0) for "<unknown>".

are showing up and i don´t know where this is coming from.

As i just received a message that his is also happening to other people, after a few tests, here is my solution on this.

My model was shifted in -Z Axis.

I was moving the whole model with the lowest point on Z=0 and the problem was solved, i could render the scene without any issue.
