  • Alpha and Aerial perspective

I put a cylinder with the texture of the horizon (trees). While the Aerial perspective is off everything works fine.

Once the Aerial perspective is on, the alpha is immediately obnoxiously visible (on the edges, off in the center).
It does not matter PNG with alpha or b/w mask. Selection of the transparency mode is also not affected. The presence of emissive also does not affect.

    How to overcome this disease?

If you enable the effect on the Background, the unpleasant strip will disappear, but the sky map will be overexposed.

      Hi aleksey_dremin

Thank you very much for the feedback! Kindly note that this is a behavior our dev team is already aware of.

The Affect Environment and Affect Background would be a workaround since the aerial perspective would be equally applied throughout the scene. Regarding your case, you could increase the Atmosphere Height parameter so environment lighting is scattered with the aerial perspective and the overexposure is diminished.

Was this fixed? I am still having strange issues with Aerial perspective and background.
E.g. here: Vray Sky as a background, then some volumetric grid for a fog and Aerial perspecitve is not applied to the background (I have "affect background" checked)
