  • Displacement Switch - still generates geometry even when off?

    Hey all, I had noticed this since NEXT, but the general idea is that even if the global displacement switch is unchecked, the geometry is still generated prior to rendering if you have materials with displacement enabled. This would cause issues where some larger models had to be opened, run a quick RT, then do your production rendering (otherwise a progressive or even creating a vrscene would take forever or not work). The only solution I've found is to disable displacement via the global switches, and then check each material and make sure displacement is switched off. Bug or feature? Am I missing something?

    This is a bug not a feature
    It's fixed in the latest builds available here:

    Give it a try and let us know if it resolves the issue.
