Why vray has so low performance? It's almost not impossible to work with a model with only 96.000 faces. Opening Vray Asset Editor with materials applied and doing some settings make me annoyed because it's freezing all the time. What helps is to close vray asset editor process in Windows task manager as it's not responding anymore while SketchUp continues to work fine by itself and then, of course, I need to restart SU because Vray is not working after closing the process in a task manager. So I suppose there are some problems with Vray optimization which you have to solve. By the way, my PC is powerful enough (i7-5960X 4.38 GHz, 64 GB DDR4, 2 TB PCI-e SSD, GeForce RTX 2080). So when I check my load of PC resources in the task manager I see only 10-15% of CPU and RAM using. So why is it not responding then??? What should I do to make it work fine? Using Vray proxy? Yes, it's a solution that works but don't you think it's a strange thing because we're talking about only 96K faces? I would understand if there was a model like 1 000 000 faces. Chaosgroup team, please, try by yourself to apply some kind of texture to my model and say if it's a comfortable working process for you. I understand that nobody is perfect, each developer has its problems. Sorry, but in your case, it looks like you have prepared your product yesterday without testing it in a way it must be tested and want to earn money selling your Vray today. I would not say it if it was only 1 or 2 cases but look how much there are problems users left and I think most of them still not solved (for example "UNDO" button issue).

Hi summerson1990
Kindly note that the issue stems from the component! It has been forward to our dev team and they will further investigate it.
In the meantime, could you please advise how the model was created? Was it imported from another 3D platform?

Hi summerson1990
Kindly note that we are not able to reproduce the freeze with the latest V-Ray for SketchUp (update 2).
Could you please disable any other 3rd party plugins, leaving only V-Ray, and see if this resolves the issue?

So the problem is connected not with Vray but with SubD plugin. Here is the topic created on SU forum. https://forums.sketchup.com/t/thomth...zing/116994/19Last edited by summerson1990; 21-02-2020, 01:55 AM.
