Cryptomatte not showing

Hi there - I'm trying to understand how to use the new Cryptomatte element feature. I have added it to my render element. Rendering on GPU mode.

When I view it in the elements drop down bar it only shows a black fill.

I'm new with this and might be missing something very obvious. Please advice.

I'm using Vray Next and Sketchup 2018

The Cryptomatte render element is not supported in progressive image sampler mode. Make sure you've got the Progressive toggle in the Render settings disabled.
