Not sure what might be causing the problem. Is it some hardware problem or bad model/material?

V-ray progress window isn't really helping out here. Any log I could check to analize the problem?

Could you please share more info about the error you are experiencing?

1. Does it occur only with a specific project?
2. Does it occur after a specific action is taken, e.g. proxy import or changing some parameter value.
3. Version of SketchUp and V-Ray for SketchUp
4. Engine type and mode used (CPU / GPU), (Production / Interactive)

If you are able to reproduce the error reliably with a specific project, please pack it (Extensions > V-Ray > Pack Project) and send it over via a file-sharing service of your chioce together with the requested info to support@chaosgroup.com .
Once my colleagues receive your message an investigation will be initiated.

same thing happened to me once last week, ended up with Sketchup bug splat. Couldn't replicate, have worked in many different files (some new, some old),
That day after crash, same file, no changes other than restarting Sketchup & Vray, ran multiple renderings fine (in that same file).
It has not happened since, in that file or any other.
File was fine, no data lost, not corrupt.
I'm going by memory, it seems I was running a series of renderings with different scene tabs, so just switching tabs after saving rendering. I don't think I made any adjustments in between renderings to model or VRAY (typically run default settings), I do have section cuts with those tabs.

Thanks for letting me know! We are on the lookout for this exception. If you manage to reproduce it again, please let me know by sharing any of the info I requested in my previous post or at least the progress log (might also contain some clues).
Will post an update if we manage to catch in the meantime.
