Hi! When I import a proxy mesh each time I have to correct all material's colours values (diffuse, reflections, etc) because they doesn't match. It's not a big problem if we're talking about several materials but what to do if there are a lot of them? And what is more, is that if you try to create any material for example "generic" and then simply try to rename it you'll see that colour values will be changed by some BUG. I have attached all documents to investigate the issues.

You see that as a result of it my proxy mesh (from the left) looks very dark and almost non-reflective, etc. And from the right side, it is a proxy scene which is looking as it should look. So I have to correct manually all colour values in each of the material imported from max and applied to my proxy mesh in order it could look the same as a proxy scene. As an additional example look at my one more gif screen record in attachments. All the materials get to SketchUp from 3ds max by vray vrmat converter.Attached Files3 PhotosLast edited by summerson1990; 14-05-2020, 02:39 PM.

Regarding the converted vrmat files from 3dsmax, as you have pointed out, the issue stems from the color space used by the color picker (render vs screen space). Unfortunately the vrmat converter tool has been outdated for sometime, however improvements are to be expected in the near-future.
Using a proxy scene (.vrscene file)or manually adjusting the material would be the go-to workflow at the moment. The material could also be adjusted with a Color Correction procedural texture (screenshot below)
