  • Asset Editor not loading

Hi, I'm trying to upgrade to the latest version of Vray for Sketchup, but once installed I get this message when trying to open the asset Editor:

Name:	asseteditor.jpg
Views:	10652
Size:	36.2 KB
ID:	1075205

Funny thing is Vray otherwise is working: rendering starts and all, but I can't access the Asset Editor.

I'm working with Sketchup 2020.1 licensed and Vray Next for Sketchup update 2.1

I have already updated the GPU drivers.

This happens only on my laptop, and only for this version of Vray. I tried installing sketchup 2019 and Vray 4.1 and everything works perfectly.

    Any help?

      Hello 3d1,

Yes, Run as Administrator is the option needed to solve your first issue.

For the strange behavior of the preview in the Asset Editor try using nVidia Control Panel to configure the V-Ray NeUI to be processed by the GPU.

      1. Open NVIDIA Control Panel and go to Manage 3D settings

      2. In the Program Settings tab look for V-Ray neui application

3*. If it is not there use the Add button and find it in C:\Program Files\Chaos Group\V-Ray\V-Ray for SketchUp\extension\vrayneui-win32-x64

Additionally, could you disable any anti-virus application to see if there's any change?

Please, let us know if this resolves the issue.
      We're here to help.

      Best regards,
